Goldbod And GCX Partner To Boost Gold Trading And Investment Access In Ghana

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) and the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX) have commenced collaborative discussions aimed at introducing gold trading on the GCX platform.

The move is part of a broader effort to expand access to gold ownership and create inclusive investment opportunities for both individuals and institutions.

As part of the initiative, the two institutions are exploring innovative trading models such as tokenized gold assets and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). These instruments are expected to offer modern and transparent avenues for gold investment, supporting wealth creation and broader financial participation in Ghana’s gold sector.

Meanwhile, GoldBod has begun engagements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to ensure that any future gold investment instruments are aligned with regulatory standards and investor protection requirements.

The Board emphasized that public updates will be provided once discussions are concluded, assuring stakeholders of its commitment to transparency and financial security.

This strategic partnership is expected to help Ghana better leverage its gold reserves, offering citizens and investors innovative, secure, and regulated avenues to participate in the gold economy, the country’s most valuable natural resource.
