A mammoth number of supporters and delegates have gathered at the Accra
Sports Stadium to cheer up and vote for their favorite aspirants vying for
various positions in the New Patriotic Party as the party holds its National
Delegates Conference today.
Themed; "Holding Together, Working Together", it is aimed at electing national executives expected
to lead the party's organisation for the 2024 general elections.
However, the conference which commenced on
Saturday morning with the arrival of party delegates and aspirants has seen no
progress yet aside a musical interlude to entertain the attendees.
The conference is surprisingly delaying and as at
12 noon, not even the opening prayer has been said.
It remains unclear when the first delegate will
cast his or her vote since the electoral officials have not fully set up for
the main activity of the day to begin.
It's already 39 minutes past 12 O'clock and there
is nothing worthwhile ongoing except non-stop music blasting through the loud
speakers akin to a musical concert.
